Son to Alan and Joanne, brother of Victoria. John Michael was a young boy who was with his parents in a bombed out store, when his mother went into labor. When his father ventured out to find Julie Parrish, he left John Michael in charge of defense, something the young boy took seriously, breaking off a piece of the door to use as a spear. When Julie and Kyle showed up, John Michael stuck with Kyle and was accidentally seen by the Visitors who kept pressure on them. He talked with Kyle about wanting to be a resistance fighter and learned the lesson that you shouldn’t want to kill anyone, human or Visitor. They are able to escape with help from Donovan.
