Melanie Singer is a secretary and a Fifth Column suicide bomber who goes after Chad Decker after Will Mabyee is unsuccessful at killing Chad.
Erica realizes that the Melanie's target is Chad Decker and manages to stop her before she can detonate the explosives strapped on to her. Melanie is promptly arrested. Erica manages to convince Melanie to reveal information after Erica reveals to Melanie the scar behind her ear, while Paul Kendrick was looking away. Once Erica gets a lead on the possible location, Paul Kendrick dispatches her to investigate, while he continues to process Melanie.("Serpent's Tooth")
